About the Artist Joseph Sundwall has been making art since he was a child. A Chicago native, he studied art and design at the Kansas City Art Institute, oil painting in New York City at the Art Students League and the National Academy, and in London at St. Oswald's Studios. Now a New Jersey resident, he exhibits his work in solo, group and juried shows mainly in the Northeast. His work is found in private collections throughout the United States, Canada, the U.K. and in Europe..
In addition to commissioned portraits, Joseph enjoys painting sporting and equine art subjects (fox hunting, flat track racing, polo and bassetting), plus landscape and still life.
