| Working with charcoal is similar to oils in that it’s easy
to simplify a passage with only a smudge of the thumb, but without
the color, charcoal becomes more of a study in values and silhouette.
So these are less about particular players than highlighted moments
of vigorous play.
In addition to original works, I’ve selected several charcoals
to be reproduced as giclee prints in editions limited to 100 each.
They are printed on the same buff-colored archival Strathmore paper
the originals are drawn on, and signed and numbered by hand. |
